This exciting evening of iconic repertoire and outstanding student artistry features Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man and Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet. Featuring Miami's exceptional talent, featured soloists include Alice Ryan, cello, performing Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor; Jack Nomina, oboe, performing Goossens Oboe Concerto; and Jia Ying Yap, piano, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23. Join us on March 13th for a celebration of student excellence and orchestral masterworks.

From Bach to Beethoven

May 7th, 2026 | Hall Auditorium

This dynamic season finale highlights women composers who reframe the classical tradition while celebrating the enduring legacy of Bach and Beethoven. The program opens with Clarice Assad’s Suite for Lower Strings, inspired by the music of J. S. Bach, followed by Helen Hagan’s Piano Concerto in C minor featuring soloist Michael Chertock. Sonia Morales-Matos’s vibrant Fiesta No. 3 brings rhythmic energy and color before the evening concludes with Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 5.
